DIY Vac-Bed Supplies List

Picture
This is a complete list of all the mandatory materials and tools needed to build the Vac-Bed I designed. I've attached affiliate links to each item used in my videos to ensure you get the exact products required for this project.

You may not need everything on this list if you already have some of the supplies at home.

But let’s say you do need to buy everything I’ve listed—from Amazon and Canal Rubber. Your total cost for supplies will come out to $722.36.
When I built my Vac-Bed, I ordered the latex from Canal Rubber and picked up a few things from Amazon. But I also had to make runs to local stores for extra supplies. In the end, I spent over $1,000—and that doesn’t even include the tools I already owned.

Some of the items shown in my video were bought locally at much higher prices than what you can get them for online. That’s why I created this list: to help you build BDSM equipment on a budget. Learn from my mistakes, and save yourself some cash!

Since I was figuring things out through trial and error, I ended up buying materials that didn’t work. I’ve left those off this list. What I’ve included here is everything that’s essential  to successfully build your own Vac-Bed.

  • Solvent for Latex & Rubber Cement: Amazon Link
  • All-Purpose Cement (for Zipper Attachment): Amazon Link

Straps & Hardware
  • 1" Cotton Straps/Ratchet Straps: Amazon Link
  • 10mm Heavy-Duty Grommet Tool Kit: Amazon Link

Airtight Zipper (Read Carefully Before Ordering!)

Airtight Zipper: Amazon Link

IMPORTANT: Ordering the correct zipper length is crucial!
  • I will post a detailed video explaining how to measure properly.
  • The sizing chart on the Amazon link is inaccurate for this project.

Zipper Sizing Guide Your required zipper length depends on:
  1. Latex Sheet Width
  2. Straps & Wrapping Technique
  3. Triangle Bottom Design (or not)

If Using Natural Latex (42” Width)
  • Straps Wrapped in 2.5” of Latex on Each Side (5” Total)
    Final Width: 37”
    • With a Triangle Bottom: Order a 36” zipper
    • Without a Triangle Bottom: Order a 34” zipper

If Using Colored Latex (38” Width)
  • Straps Wrapped in 2.5” of Latex on Each Side (5” Total)
    Final Width: 33”
    • With a Triangle Bottom: Order a 32” zipper
    • Without a Triangle Bottom:
      • Subtract 7” for Straps + 1” for Fitting → Final Width: 31”
        • Order a 30” zipper

Warning:
  • If your zipper is too short, you won’t fit through the hole.
  • If it’s too long, you won’t be able to attach it properly.
  • If you modify measurements, you must calculate your own zipper size!

Required Cutting Tools
  • Safe Blade Rotary Cutter: Amazon Link
  • X-Acto Knife: Amazon Link
  • Heavy-Duty Micro Tip Scissors: Amazon Link
  • Heavy-Duty PowerCut Snips: Amazon Link
  • Metal Yard Stick: Amazon Link
  • Acrylic Ruler with Guides: Amazon Link

Cutting Mat (Self-Healing)
  • Large Mat: Amazon Link
  • Medium Mat: Amazon Link
Tip: I taped two mats side-by-side for larger cutting areas.

Dremel Rotary Tool
  • Dremel Rotary Tool: Amazon Link
    • Purpose: Used to grind 1 cm around the zipper edges so the Barge All-Purpose Cement can properly bond.

Additional Tools & Supplies
  • Clothing Clamps
    • Use: to hold latex in place
  • Rubber Mallet: Amazon Link
    • Use: Hammering grommet holes before installing grommets.
  • Microfiber Towels: Amazon Link
    • Use: Cleaning latex with solvent.
  • Mason Jars for storing Your adhesive and solvent.
    • Use: It's easier to store them in jars and use a syringe to get the exact amount you need to mix your glue.

Tape & Protective Gear (Recommended to Use Two Colors of Painter Tape)
  • 1” Painter’s Tape: Amazon Link
  • 2” Painter’s Tape: Amazon Link
  • Weather-Resistant Tape (Prevents Zipper Flap from Catching): Amazon Link

Gloves & Application Tools
  • Box of Nitrile Gloves: Amazon Link
    • Tip: Keep gloves clean! Change or clean them with solvent often to prevent glue from contaminating your latex.
  • Plastic Syringes (6-Pack, 60ml/cc) with Tips & Plugs: Amazon Link
    • Tip: Use these to mix and apply adhesive directly onto latex. Prevents glue from drying too fast in open containers.
  • Watercolor Brush Pens: Amazon Link
    • Tip: Used to apply solvent for latex cleaning.

Paint Brushes (DO NOT use cheap ones!)
  • Medium Silicone Paint Brush Set (Wooden Handles): Amazon Link
  • Small Silicone Paint Brush Set (Black Handles): Amazon Link
  • 1” Silicone Brush: Amazon Link
  • Fine-Tip Paint Brushes: Amazon Link
  • Warning: Cheap brushes shed bristles that stick to latex—don’t use them!

Storage & Travel
(You will repurpose 1 Vacuum Bags Vac-Port to attach to your Vac Bed)
  • Vacuum Storage Bags with Electric Pump: Amazon Link
    • Tip: If you travel for sessions, this lets you pack your Vac-Bed in a suitcase without needing a full vacuum system.

Seam Roller
  • Metal Seam Roller: Amazon Link
    • Tip: Do NOT buy plastic or wood rollers! Solvent can clean metal, but it destroys plastic/wood.

Final Thoughts
This list contains everything you need to build the Vac-Bed shown in my videos. Be sure to follow all tips carefully to avoid common mistakes. If any part seems unclear, I will be releasing detailed video tutorials on specific steps soon.

A Space for Passion, Learning, and Growth

    Welcome, My Hyper-Sexual Being!

For years, I hesitated to start this blog, held back by the fear that I wouldn’t be able to articulate my thoughts "perfectly." You see, when I was in the 3rd grade, I was diagnosed with OCD, ADD, dyslexia, and a reading disability, which landed me in special education. Writing has never come easily to me, but that’s never stopped me from pursuing my passions.

This blog is my way of sharing my knowledge, creativity, and experiences with the world—flaws and all. My articles may not be polished to perfection, but they are real, and they come from a place of deep passion and dedication to my craft.

If you’ve ever felt like your learning challenges define you or hold you back, let me be proof that they don’t. Your voice, your ideas, and your work matter. I hope my journey inspires you to embrace your own, no matter what obstacles you face.

Thanks for being here—I can’t wait to share this space with you!

    With Love & Dedication,
    Domina Gray
